The South West Region has thousands of kilometres of river and many hundreds of still waters. The region is split into four areas: Cornwall, Devon, South Wessex and North Wessex Areas.

Cornwall Area: Predominantly Cornwall

Devon Area: Predominantly Devon

South Wessex Area: Predominantly Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire

North Wessex Area: Predominantly Somerset and Gloucestershire

Trout, Bream, pike and roach the dominant species in most flowing waters. Yes free trout fishing!

Barbel become important species in the upper reaches of major rivers.
